Statement of Faith

Statement of faith

What we believe shapes how we live, worship, and serve. Below is a summary of the doctrines that define our church.

We believe the Bible — the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments — is the verbally inspired, inerrant Word of God and the supreme authority for faith and life.

Our confession

The Second London Baptist Confession of Faith (1689)

We are a confessional Baptist church. Together with our Baptist forefathers and believers across the centuries, we hold to the Second London Baptist Confession of Faith — first published in 1677 and adopted in 1689 — as a faithful summary of what the Bible teaches. Scripture alone is our supreme authority; the Confession is a careful, reverent guide to its teaching.

Originally drafted by Baptist pastors in London in 1677 and publicly adopted by more than one hundred congregations in 1689.
